It can stop trying to rain now. It's been thinking about raining off and on for a couple of days now, and it rained this morning up near work. Everything is humid... right now I have the windows in the apartment open and everything is... misty. Cue that Johnny Mathis record. It's cool out but it feels very heavy outside, as if it's going to rain again or just finished. It seemed pretty clear when the Bulls were down at Grant Park, but things change pretty rapidly here. Some of the guys from work blew off work and went downtown instead. This city has lost its mind. Michael and everyone are just everywhere you look. If Michael Jordan didn't already exist, Chicago would have had to invent him.
I went to the mall tonight to find something to wear to Jenny's wedding and came home empty-handed. I didn't think it was possible, but colors have gotten worse at the mall, not better. I hoped that after the winter madness the shoppers and buyers would wake up and non-violent colors would return. I was wrong.
I went and got a pretzel and looked at some CDs, and didn't buy anything, though I think I'm going to go back and buy the new Natalie Merchant CD. I have to start putting my CDs away right, because the cases are getting dusty and scratched up, and I am pretty sure that Fargo has slapped a few of them under the furniture and I won't find them until I move, if I ever move. I need to start thinking about that.
I've been trying to figure out what sort of person Evan would be to live with. Spending weekends doesn't count. It's not the same as the other person being there all the time, no escape. I'll have to think about this... there's no big rush.
Fargo misses your comments when you don't leave them.
Confused about the characters here? I now have a guide to the players in this little drama.
