Today was Flag Day. I don't have any flags.
We decided we wanted to see the basketball game, so Evan and I went over to this place that's sort of an upscale sports bar, where they have televisions all over the place. We got over there at 6:30, and it was already pretty busy. I think people were so disappointed that the Chicago Bulls didn't win Friday night that they were willing to come out on Sunday and yell a lot, so they did.
It was actually pretty cool. Evan knew some of the people so he introduced me. I realized that this was really the first time he'd introduced me to other people he already knew, and he was really good about not making me sound like some kind of luggage, or like some kind of prize. I was sort of dreading that. I mean, I know how I've introduced him to people I know, but I guess I was just sort of wary. People just think anything when you tell them you met through an ad.
The game was good, it was exciting, and I'm glad we went out. My television isn't very large and sometimes it's hard to see things.
We didn't do much else all weekend. Those of you in Chicago know what the weather has been like, and I guess there were some tornadoes over in Michigan and in Indiana. I need to go up to Minneapolis and make sure the house is OK, but I don't know when I'll be able to do it. Next weekend, I guess. I'm a little worried that branches might have blown off the tree and broken things. If anything really dire happened, the neighbors would call me, and I haven't heard from them, so I'll hope things are OK.
Evan has not been up to Minneapolis, but I'm not sure it'd be very interesting for him.
Fargo misses your comments when you don't leave them.
Confused about the characters here? I now have a guide to the players in this little drama.
