I hate ice. I went out to the mall on my way back from Buffalo Grove earlier, and somehow managed to find a tiny patch of ice or wet ice or something and fall on it. I'm fairly tall already, and that has made me a little awkward at times in my life. Couple that with not paying attention and wearing pumps with a fairly small heel, well, I went down in a pretty spectacular way.
I hate ice.
No injuries except to pride. And, I replaced the mouse. I decided not to throw the newly-cordless mouse away. Instead, I'll keep and see if I can repair the cord or at least learn how they're put together.
I do worry about being awkward. In particular, I worry about stepping on or tripping over Fargo. He's so tiny, still after three and almost a half months, and I had gotten very used to being able to walk anywhere in the apartment unimpeded. Fargo really likes to walk close to my ankles when I'm moving around, and as a result I kick him once in a while. He seems resilient but I am terribly worried I'll hurt him.
In college, I took many dance classes to get better-coordinated than I had been in high school. My coordination was shot around the age of 14 or 15, when I reached the height I am now, 5'10". I don't think I need to say that my social life for a couple of years was (and sometimes is) affected by that. I was never a great dancer, but I learned to move and not look spastic. Still, when I hit the ice, all grace was completely lost.
The dancing did carry over to my life after college. I still like to go out dancing, but the chances to do that have been few.
Fargo, what's it like to be a kitten? Is it fun? Do you wish you still had other kittens to play with? Will you forgive me when I kick you?
I'd like a roomful of kittens sometimes.
Someone who by some miracle has found these pages sent me a link about a "ring" of web pages written by people who keep online diaries and suggested that I might like to join. I don't know what it involves, but I'll find out. I knew there were more than a few such people, but finding them always seems to be such a random occurrence...
