I heard a rumor that the company that makes Mercedes-Benz is buying Chrysler or something. I had a friend in college who owned a Chrysler that fell apart. Literally fell apart. It wasn't that old, but the thing had rusted in some special way and when he hit a bump on a street in St. Paul, it sort of bent in half and came to a stop. They towed it away and he bought a Toyota for about $200. He was still driving it when he graduated. I don't know why I'm telling you this story, except that I hope Mercedes forces Chrysler to build better cars, rather than Chrysler making Mercedes-Benzes with fake plastic wood on the sides and a vinyl top or something.

It's still raining, but you knew that.

Evan called this afternoon and said that he'd be out there until Thursday. I guess something got rescheduled. He says we'll go to Blue Chicago or something next weekend.

I went out this afternoon to the mall and got some CD's. I got something by Matchbox 20 because I saw their video on MTV, and got a collection of Bach organ pieces. The big, loud ones... Toccata and Fugue in D-minor, Fantasie and Fugue in G-minor, all those big, brooding, loud pieces you always hear. I thought about buying a video, but didn't. I thought maybe Fargo might like Mouse Hunt, which I heard was funny, but I caught myself in the absurdity of choosing purchases based on what my cat will like, and stopped myself.

Fargo misses your comments when you don't leave them.
