Jenny wasn't at rehearsal tonight, and nobody had any idea where she was. She hadn't called anyone to tell them she wouldn't be there, so we looked through some new music, talked about a couple of jobs that might be coming up, and went over to get some ice cream.

Yes, I got further interrogation about Evan. Maureen made a sort of comment about Evan playing bassoon, and how after Jenny goes off, gets married, and has quadruplets in Pennsylvania somewhere, Evan could just take over. Mary-Therese just sort of laughed.

I got home and called Evan and told him that he's liable to be drafted into the Quintet That Has No Name. He laughed, too.

I like the way he laughs. If someone were laughing at me, I'd want it to be him.
