Today would have been another good day to stay home, but instead I went to work and spent the day writing. The office park we're in does a terrible job of removing snow. Only about half the normal number of parking spaces appear to be there, so I ended up parking actually out on the street and walking through the snowdrift to the office. Cars are just everywhere, in no real order.
I'm leaving work early tomorrow, as we're playing a concert with some other NU small ensembles. We're only doing two pieces, some Beethoven and one of Daniel's arrangements, I think one of the Bach. We should be fine, and there are other groups on the program, so I don't feel any huge pressure.
After work I had a little light left and went over to the park and skied a bit. Only about 20 minutes, but enough to make me really tired. I got back here, microwaved some soup and checked the mail.
I learned a new phrase: "playing hide-the-carrot."
OK, so I'd heard the phrase before. I learned a new inflection of it, how's that? I love learning new things via the Web. It's a truly amazing place.
Not to be too obvious about it, but you can leave comments in my guestbook if you want to. There's plenty of space.
