That's it. The hard drive in the laptop is having a very hard time of things. I called the vendor, and they asked me to send it back so that they could put a new drive in. I am going to devote the hard drive's remaining hours toward backing things up on the Zip drive (and a lot of Zip diskettes) I bought at lunch today. Sorry. They said that if I can get it overnighted to them they can cross-ship a replacement machine to me which I can have Saturday if I pay extra. Addicted as I am to this "writing" thing, that's what I'm doing. Sorry, you'll probably all get updates to these pages in a lump when I get the new machine.
